Friday 19th to Sunday 21st October 2018
Rudry Parish Hall, Rudry, CF83 3DF
This is our 12th year at Rudry and the Pentreffest Autumn festival is becoming a "must do" event for many people. This weekend of traditional European music and dance is winning many friends who love to come back to a wonderful venue in an idyllic Welsh village.
All are welcome to come and join in and discover the joys of dancing and listening to some of the best traditional musicians in Europe. With good food and story-telling as well, there is something to delight everybody. You don’t have to come for the whole weekend. Tickets are available for individual sessions. If you fancy getting out your school recorder or violin, then come and join in with the workshops. And do not worry about having two left feet … we can assure you that it is a very rare condition, which is easily corrected with a little help from one of Pentreffest’s dance consultants. There are always experienced dancers who will be pleased to give you a helping hand to glide around the dance floor.
Children are welcome, but they do need to bring their parents with them.
There will be concerts and dances, with instrumental and dance workshops. As always workshops will cater for all levels, so there will be something for everyone to learn, and everyone can join in and enjoy themselves and as Orla Henning is returning to cook for us so look forward to all your favourite treats.
We look forward to seeing you in October.
Artists include Cecilia (Belgium), Duo Talec Noguet (Brittany), Josefina Paulson ( Sweden) with dance tutors Sylvian Sahli & Sonia Almeida plus Pat Goodacre.
